Connie Lapinskas is the assistant provost for financial affairs. This position supports the executive officers of the University: President, Provost, Treasurer, and Vice Presidents. Her responsibilities include
- Developing Financial models for strategic initiatives based on fiscal and academic data;
- Creating funding plans that capitalize on a variety of resources and funding mechanisms;
- Managing executive level reserves: revenue planning, allocation recommendations, financial reporting;
- Designing implementation strategies for university initiatives.
Lapinskas is a graduate of Purdue’s Krannert School of Management and her appointments in Purdue’s business services span over 38 years. These positions include associate and assistant directors of budget and fiscal planning, where she was involved in developing and managing the University’s internal operating budget and preparing the system-wide legislative request; director of financial affairs for the College of Liberal Arts and the College of Pharmacy, Nursing, and Health Sciences, with responsibility for the overall financial operations and fiscal integrity of these colleges. She also has held positions within Sponsored Program Services, with responsibility for grant and contract administration for industrial sponsors and Department of Health and Human Services awards.
