Diane Beaudoin, PhD
Beaudoin is the Director of Assessment for the Office of the Provost. Her responsibilities include helping department and programs develop processes for assessing student learning, coordinating accreditation requirements for and managing communications with the Higher Learning Commission, managing the Learning Outcomes Assessment Mini-Grants program, and serving as a resource for and liaison between the various groups doing assessment on campus.
Dr. Beaudoin earned her BS degree in chemical engineering from the University of Texas at Austin and her PhD in chemical engineering from North Carolina State University. Before coming to Purdue, she was a faculty member in the Department of Chemical, Bio and Materials Engineering at Arizona State University. She joined Purdue as the Director of Assessment in the College of Engineering in 2008.
Dr. Beaudoin also serves as a Senior IDEAL Scholar for ABET, the organization that accredits college and university programs in the disciplines of applied science, computing, engineering, and engineering technology. As a Senior Scholar, she delivers one day faculty workshops on program assessment across the country.
