Your participation in the Annual Swing for Sales Golf Tournament helps to further the professional development of Purdue sales students, especially those of freshmen, sophomores, and juniors. Your support allows Purdue students to excel to greater heights in their soon-to-be sales careers.

Benefits

Participating companies will take advantage of significantly increased visibility to Purdue students at the beginning of a new academic year. Targeted promotions for such a unique event will keep participating companies fresh in students’ minds throughout the semester. This promotion comes along with direct one-on-one access to pre-qualified students interested in professional sales careers. Golf has proven to be a common area for sales interactions and thus, this opportunity provides recruiters insight into the way potential sales candidates handle this sales situation. Golf will also allow recruiters and sales representatives the opportunity to instill knowledge about their company to sales students on a more personal level.

Description

• A 9-hole golf tournament will begin at 9:00am on Ackerman Hills Course
• Each foursome will consist of 2 company reps and 2 Purdue sales students
• Recruiters from sponsoring companies will be stationed at each tee box.
• A “best-ball” format will be played while both twosomes in each foursome compete against each other
• A clinic will be held from 11:00am-12:00pm for 25 students that are inexperienced at golf, but want to learn. They will meet up with the rest of our group at lunch.
• The luncheon will provide an opportunity for mingling between students, recruiters, and sales reps following the keynote speech and awards.

Sponsorship Opportunities

There are many different opportunities for sponsorship of the Annual Swing for Sales Golf Tournament, but all sponsors will receive the following in addition to the benefits of each sponsorship level:

• A booklet containing the resumes of all 60+ participating sales students
• An invitation to network with the students at the luncheon following golf
• Your company logo on all of the promotional material for the tournament
• You sponsorship announced on our website and social media platforms
• A Purdue Center for Professional Selling polo shirt for each company rep

• One-on-one access to pre-qualified sales students
• Gauge how well the students conduct themselves outside the office
• Tell students what a day in the life of a sales person at your company is like

Sponsor Your Golf Clinic
$2000

• You don’t play golf? Neither do a lot of our sales students
• Learn the basics of golf with up to 25 sales students before the luncheon
• Be the first company they meet and see how quick they learn

Sponsor Your Tee Box
$500 in addition to a foursome

• Have a “career-fair” table set up at one of the 9 tee boxes
• Meet every student as they come around in pairs to your table
• Let students know about available opportunities with your company

Sponsor Your Driving Range
$1000

• Start off the day with your logo and reps greeting students at the range
• Display recruitment/promotional material that students will see first
• Let students know about available opportunities with your company
