Web Site Services
We can design a new site based on your vision of what is important for users to learn from your site, as well as, refine or further enhance an existing site. We are equally able to provide maintenance to any new site we design for you and maintain/update any current site during the design of your new or redeveloped site.
Process
Step 1
In our first meeting with you, we will discuss your needs and "wishlists" for your site, scheduling, costs, in addition to what we need you to provide: text, graphic/image files, established departmental Web site requirements/guidelines, server information (location and ftp information), and contact information with both a secondary contact and a contact with final approval authority.
Step 2
Once we have produced a site ready for "proofing," we will schedule a meeting in our conference room here at Printing Services. This gives you (and anyone else you wish to include) the opportunity to review the site, work with the developer and make changes or suggestions.
Step 3
After all changes have been made, we upload your Web site to a test folder on your server for you to test links, review graphics/images and layout online. Upon final testing (by you) and final approval, we publish your site, making it "live" and accessible to all!
Maintenance
Web sites need to be continually maintained and updated with accurate information. Updates are as easy as sending an email with the changes indicated in the message or as an attachment. Updates can also be sent either campus or U.S. mail as a printout of the page with changes marked.
We can establish a convenient monthly billing account for your updates/maintenance.
