Security feedback panel presents report, recommendations at April 30 President’s Forum

Purdue President Mitch Daniels and the members of the emergency preparedness and security feedback panel presented the final report and recommendations of the panel, which was formed after the Jan. 21 shooting on the West Lafayette campus.

Patricia Hart, professor of Spanish and the panel chair, lead the presentation along with panel members Carol Shelby, senior director of environmental health and public safety; John Cox, chief of police; and Steve Schultz, legal counsel. The panel was charged by Provost Tim Sands and Treasurer Al Diaz with evaluating feedback on emergency preparedness and making recommendations for potential improvements in process and protocol.
