Pamela T. Horne
Assistant Vice President for Enrollment Management and Dean of Admissions
Pamela T. Horne has served as Purdue's assistant vice president for enrollment management and dean of admissions since September 2006. Her responsibilities include admissions, financial aid, orientation, new student programs, learning communities, early-access programs, registrar, and enrollment management analysis and reporting.
Horne was formerly assistant to the provost for enrollment management and director of admissions at Michigan State University. Prior to that, she held a variety of administrative positions at the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor, including assistant director of the Office of Undergraduate Admissions, assistant associate provost, director of orientation and campus information, assistant director for student information services, and assistant director of student organizations and programs.
Horne also served as an academic adviser and program coordinator for the Office of Campus Life at Eastern Michigan University, was director of student activities at Mercy College of Detroit, and was residence hall director and assistant to the dean of women at the University of Kansas in Lawrence.
She earned a bachelor’s degree in speech communication from the University of Kansas in 1974 and a master’s degree in education, also from the University of Kansas, in 1982. In addition, she completed the management development program from the Harvard Graduate School of Education in 1994.
