Amy Terstriep, PhD
Director of Pre-Professional Advising
Purdue's Director of Pre-Professional Advising came to Purdue in 2007 after 10 years at Albion College in Michigan. At Albion, she taught in the Anthropology and Sociology Department for several years, ran the Institute for Pre-Medical and Health Care Studies for five years, and finally worked as the Associate Registrar. Her academic background is in medical anthropology and her research interests include the genetics of deafness as well as Deaf culture. As part of her training she took courses in medical, dental, and veterinary schools as well as nursing and public health programs.
Storie Pedley, MS
Storie grew up locally and is a Boilermaker through and through! She worked in Purdue Admissions and as pre-health advisor at the University of Alabama Birmingham before making her way back to Purdue.
Julie Wise, BS
Julie is usually the first to greet you when you come to our office. She grew up in the area and went to Johnson & Wales University where she earned a marketing degree. Besides working with our office, she also provides support for the Director of University Undergraduate Advising. If you have questions or need help with your medical or dental school letters, Julie is the first person you should contact.
The Center for Pre-Professional Advising serves as a centralized information source on professional careers and fosters an advising partnership with current, prospective, and alumni students to facilitate their exploration of professional career options and development toward their goals.
