To ensure a consistent process and approach to creating and writing
policies, the following checklist for review and approval has been
established.
- Creation and approval of policy by issuing unit. (Check “Writing
and Formatting Policies” for more information.)
- Editorial
review by Purdue Marketing
Communications (PMC). (Contact PMC
at 42034.)
- Assignment of document number to policy by PMC.
- Legal review obtained
by issuing unit.
- Presidential approval (if needed) obtained by
issuing unit.
- Final proof (punctuation, spelling, formatting)
and posting on Web site
by PMC.
- Finalized electronic file provided by PMC to issuing
unit, along with
notification of policy posting.
- Previous policy version (if
applicable) archived by PMC in electronic
archive on secured server.
- List 39 notified of policy revision/creation
by issuing unit.
