As you may already know, in May 2013, Purdue Musical Organizations will embark on a historic performance tour to Austria, Germany, Switzerland and France with the Purdue Varsity Glee Club, Purduettes and Purdue Bells. While the focus of this tour is on our students, PMO Club Director’s Circle level donors ($2,500) and Benefactors Circle level donors ($5,000) who wish to share in this unique student experience will have an opportunity to come along. The purpose of this letter is to outline the booking process. Should you have any questions regarding the process outlined below, please contact us.
In early March, our tour itinerary will be sent via First Class Mail to all PMO Club donors at the Director’s Circle giving level and higher as of January 1, 2011. The itinerary, which will include pricing information, will also be made available for download at this time via the homepage of our website: http://www.purdue.edu/pmo
We encourage all those who are interested in coming along with us to review the itinerary throughout the month of March and contact us with any questions. Should you have a question regarding your current PMO Club giving level or should you wish to increase your giving to PMO in order to be included in the Director’s Circle level, we will be happy to assist you.
Please note only those donors whose giving to Purdue Musical Organizations totals $2,500 or more since January 1, 2011 will have the opportunity to sign up. An invitation to travel internationally with PMO is a benefit of giving for our PMO Club Director’s Circle and Benefactors Circle giving levels.
Beginning at 9:00 a.m. EST on Monday, April 2, those who are interested in coming along with PMO may register by completing a simple online form, again via the homepage of our website. Once you complete the online form, we will review your eligibility to join us by looking at your giving level and then contact you with additional details. In order to confirm your reservation, paperwork and a nonrefundable deposit of $500 for each person traveling will be due to our travel company by April 20, 2012. Additional details regarding the deposit will be shared when we contact you after receiving your online form.
This performance tour is historic for many reasons, one of which is we will be taking up to 130 students overseas. Because we may have more interest than we’re able to accommodate, we are limiting the number of guests each donor may register to two. For example, if John and Jane Doe are eligible to travel with PMO based on their giving level, both of them may register to come along. However, John and Jane would not be able to register additional guests, including children, in their reservation.
When you review the itinerary, you will see this tour is fast-paced. It is our intention to deliver a once in a lifetime experience and ensure our students take full advantage of all this performance tour has to offer. How much will it cost to go on the tour? How much will each student be expected to pay?
The cost of the tour and the cost each student will be expected to pay will be announced when the itinerary is posted on our website in early March.
