If you are unsure about which ensemble you would like to join, you may audition for multiple ensembles with one audition. Please notify the audition panel of your specific interest(s) at the time of your audition.

Purdue Varsity Glee Club
Auditions for the Purdue Varsity Glee Club take place in the spring and summer only. Students will be invited to be a part of this ensemble no later than June 30 and those who accept the invitation will begin their Glee Club experience the week before classes begin in August. Audition Dates
Prospective students are encouraged to visit a Purdue Varsity Glee Club rehearsal before auditioning. Those students auditioning in the spring are welcome to visit rehearsal the same day of their audition. Rehearsals are from 11:30am - 12:20pm (EST) during the school year on the 2nd floor of University Church located at 320 North Street near the Purdue Memorial Union.
Auditions begin at 12:30pm (EST). Please e-mail PMO receptionist Andrea Ridge in advance of your visit so she can let the director know you're coming.
Auditionees and their parents/guardians will receive an orientation to the program. Orientation lasts approximately 15 minutes and is followed by a question and answer session.
Following orientation, auditionees will undergo a wardrobe fitting and musical audition. Auditionees are encouraged to dress for success and asked to bring the following:
- Sheet music in the correct key for two contrasting songs (ex/ an upbeat tune and a ballad). Each song should be memorized and you should plan on performing the best two minutes of each piece. An accompanist will be provided. You will not have to sight-read.
- An up-to-date resume highlighting your musical background and any work experience, extra-curricular activities and/or leadership positions held.
- Any instruments or props you may need to demonstrate special talents you possess which could be incorporated into a PMO show. For example, PMO has recently utilized guitar, bag pipes and magic tricks in shows.

Purduettes

Purdue Bells
Auditions for the Purdue Bells take place in the spring and summer as well as at the PMO Callouts in August and January. Those who accept their invitation to be a part of this ensemble will begin their experience with the Purdue Bells immediately. To learn more about this ensemble, please click here.
Prospective students should make arrangements with Purdue Bells Director Michelle Beimfohr to audition in the spring and summer.

Rehearsals are Tuesdays & Thursdays during the school year from 1:30pm - 2:45pm (EST) in the basement of University Church located at 320 North Street near the Purdue Memorial Union. Auditionees are encouraged to dress for success. You will be asked to sight-read during your audition. You do not need to bring any sheet music, as we will provide you with songs to play.

University Choir
Auditions for University Choir take place in the spring and summer as well as at the PMO Callout in August. Those who accept their invitation to be a part of this ensemble will begin their experience with University Choir at the start of the fall semester. Instrumentalists
Most of PMO's ensembles offer opportunities for instrumentalists, especially for those who play drum set, piano or bass guitar. If you are an instrumentalist and are interested in playing for a PMO ensemble, please schedule an audition. You can also contact PMO receptionist Andrea Ridge to inquire about opportunities currently available for instrumentalists.
