Center Stage: Glee Club Spring Break Day 3

After a long day of traveling on Saturday and a restful evening with some very generous host families on Saturday evening, the Glee Club arrived around noon on Sunday to the Forest Hill Country Club in Fort Myers. As soon as we arrived, we sang for a crowd in the club’s restaurant.

Before long, a crowd was gathering outside waiting for a performance by the Glee Club before an afternoon golf outing.

The Glee Club did not disappoint and performed for the crowd for around a half hour.

Our host for the day, "Mama" Lee, gets a personal serenade from sophomore Steve Sanders.

The Glee Club then enjoyed a wonderful spread for lunch.

Mr. Byron Lee enjoys the company of some of the gentlemen of the Glee Club during lunch.

Dessert was enjoyed by all.

After lunch, the guys had free time. Some chose to walk the golf course.

Junior Josh Getto used his free time to putt on the putting green.

Others sat around the clubhouse just relaxing.

The Glee Club then loaded up for the trip across town to the Village Church at Shell Point Retirement Community.

The Glee Club is apparently very popular around the Ft. Myers area. The concert was completely sold out and we heard the venue actually had some ticket scalpers!

Freshman Justin Heiges adjusts a microphone during the equipment set-up at the venue.

After a marvelous dinner, it was time for the show! The gentlemen of the Glee Club wait in the lobby for their introduction.

The guys surrounded the beautiful sanctuary of the Village Church for their first song of the evening. Per our performance sponsor's request, tonight's program included 1-hour of mostly sacred selections.

The Glee Club entertained the sold-out crowd.

Sonya Stewart Eddy, daughter of PMO founder Al Stewart, was in attendance! A special thanks to all our wonderful friends in Ft. Myers for making our day such a success! We hope to see you again soon!
