Center Stage: Glee Club in Warren

As the bus rolls along to Heritage Pointe United Methodist Home, Sophomore Kyle Hoos does some homework while listening to music.

Other Glee Clubbers, like newman Matt Hanauer, like to catch a snooze during long bus rides.

Junior Jimmy O’Connor takes a study break during the three hour ride. Is that Tetris, or Bejeweled that he is playing on his iTouch?

Assistant Manager and Chairman of the Sirs, Dan Gardiner, enjoys his wonderful sandwich from Great Harvest Bread Company in Lafayette. This is the first time the Glee Club has had their food for lunch and the meals were an overwhelming hit! Thanks Great Harvest!

Upon arrival, the men of the PVGC unpack their belongings and set up in the changing room.

Members of the properties committee set up for the show at Heritage Pointe.

Junior and Sir of Properties, David Wyant, helps one of the newmen with the main speakers. Who, might this illusive newman be—“The world may never know”.

Lighthouse warms up with Ted prior to the show. The Heritage Pointe chapel proved to be an intimate atmosphere where the audience was able to get “up close and personal” with the Glee Club.

Can you Mashed Potato?!? Ba-Na-Na sure can during their 50’s hit, “Do You Love Me”.

The Voiceovers wow the crowd during halftime with their number, “Put a Little Love in Your Heart”.

The residents of Heritage Point truly enjoyed the Glee Club and their antics throughout the show. “The Glee Club” truly was a crowd favorite that made the audience laugh and cheer.

The Gentlemen of the Purdue Varsity Glee Club end the show with a few songs to send the crowd home.

Before departing back to West Lafayette, the Glee Club shared a wonderful meal provided by the staff at Heritage Pointe. Thanks for the wonderful dinner!

The host for the Heritage Pointe Home show was none other than the wonderful Cynthia Botham. Today was Cynthia’s Wedding anniversary and she truly appreciated the gift the Glee Club gave her in Song. On behalf of the PVGC we all thank Cynthia for her hospitality and generosity in having the Glee Club back to Heritage Pointe!

Before leaving a few members of the Glee Club sing “A Parting Blessing” to a resident who is recovering from a car accident. While he couldn’t make it downstairs to see the show, he still watched it on his T.V. What a dedicated fan!
