Center Stage: PMO Fall Retreat

All Campus Community Chorale, Heart and Soul, Purduettes, Purdue Bells, Purdue Varsity Glee Club, University Choir, and the Purdue Musical Organizations Staff gathered together on this beautiful fall day for an afternoon of getting to know one another and delicious food at the Griffel's house!

Purduettes Allie Battocletti, Emily Gorrell, and Amanda Kaye Bills explain the Get-To-Know-You activity to the ensembles.

All the ensembles were divided and mixed into twenty four large groups. This presented an opportunity for all the ensembles to get to know members of the other groups.

The object of the activity was to get to know one another. It all began with blindfolding one person of the group. That person was then covered in clothes pins that had several different colors on them. The idea was to get all the clothes pins off without being hit by the pool noodle that the person blindfolded had. Each clothes pin color coordinated with a certain question that allowed the PMO members to learn more about one another.

Manager of the Purdue Varsity glee club Jim Giberson uses a successful strategy.

Senior Andy Wirtner introduces himself to his group.

These ladies of PMO are from various ensembles. Also pictured here is Director of Alumni and Donor Relations Joli Heavin who also joined in the fun!

Students, members of the community, and staff alike enjoy a wonderful meal with some newly met friends.

Judging by the smiling faces and newly found friends, this fall retreat was clearly a success!
