Center Stage: PMO at FUMC and Follett's
It is an annual tradition for the Purdue Varsity Glee Club to perform at First United Methodist Church’s Back to School services. This year the Purduettes also got the opportunity to perform at the services. In fact, the ladies opened the service with “All that Hath Life and Breath”.
Purduette Director Jeffrey Vallier directs the ladies in their opening song of the service.
The Purduettes sang a number of uplifting tunes including “Glorificamus Te”, “Salmo 150”, and “Hosanna”.
The Purdue Varsity Glee Club also sang songs of inspiration at the services led by Director Bill Griffel.
Kevin Norman sings a solo in his specialty group, Lighthouse.
In between the services, the First United Methodist Church provided a wonderful breakfast to its congregation and to the men and women of Purdue Musical Organizations. The room was even decked out in black and gold.

Sophomore and member of the Rehearsal Room, Lounge, and Transportation committee Sara Erwin helps to clean up after the breakfast by collecting all the balloons. R.R.L.T.’s job is to make sure that wherever the men or women go, they leave it better than they found it.
At the conclusion of the services, the men and women of Purdue Musical Organizations headed over to Follett’s Bookstore in Purdue West to purchase their books and supplies for the semester.

Follett’s Purdue West Store Director Jeff Gulick thanks the men and women of Purdue Musical Organizations. Director of Purdue Musical Organizations, Bill Griffel, thanks him in return for allowing the students to receive discounts on books and supplies and also for welcoming them into his store.
Bill Griffel directs the Purdue Varsity Glee Club and the Purduettes in singing “Hail Purdue”.
The men and women filled the store with song as they sang out proudly the school fight song.
Both the Purdue Varsity Glee Club and the Purduettes received free meals from Dairy Queen! Tyler Ellis and Trey Smith enjoy their burgers after a very eventful day!
