Center Stage: State Fair Purdue Day

Purdue Musical Organizations participated in Purdue Day at the Indiana State Fair! This was the 8th time Purdue has had a Purdue Day.

At our booth, we promoted PMO, the 2009 Purdue Christmas Show and gave away loads of freebies including hats and CDs.

We encouraged everyone who visited us to sign-up for a chance to win free tickets to the Purdue Christmas Show.

By the end of the day, we had more than 1,300 people sign-up to win!

One of our most popular freebies was our PMOJO.com lip balm.

Ted, Lance and Steve take a break from promoting PMO to smile for the camera.

Jon and the Emotions from the Purduettes pose for a quick photo before taking the stage.

Sarah, Carrie, Courtney and Emily kick off PMO's appearance on the Purdue Live! Stage.

PMO Director Bill Griffel helps out with percussion.

Junior Carrie Syberg visits with a fan...

...and brings him up on stage for a personal serenade!

After the Purduettes performed, Bill encouraged the crowd to learn more about PMO by visiting our booth before the spotlight was stolen by...

...who else? Glee Club's Ba-Na-Na!

Pat, David, Kyle and Jim entertain outside the Home & Family Arts Building.

After the performance, Kyle, Carrie and Pat take a break before taking the stage one last time.

Ba-Na-Na and the Emotions joined the Purdue Cheerleaders and Purdue Bands in "Hail Purdue" at the Purdue Pep Rally.

After the show was over, Bill made a new friend while checking out the many unique offerings at the Indiana State Fair.

Back at the PMO booth, Ted, Joli, Lance, Kim and Andrea are having a laugh.

Our booth neighbor, Purdue Crew, challenged Bill and Andrea to see if they have what it takes.

Bill giving it his best shot!

At the end of the day, members of the PMO staff load the van and head back to campus. Thank you to EVERYONE who visited our booth. We had an awesome day promoting PMO at the Indiana State Fair and we look forward to returning next year. Until then, Hail Purdue!
