Center Stage: Glee Club Spring Break Tour, Day 7
As the final day started, the Glee Club gathered at the hotel's breakfast buffet to enjoy a hearty meal before the long journey back.
Then, the Glee Club packed up all of their luggage, loaded it onto the bus, and said goodbye to the Hyatt Regency they had stayed at all week.
The guys stopped off at Golden Gate Park to enjoy some relaxation and beautiful greenery before the flight back.
Some enjoyed meeting new friends in the park.
Others took the time to travel and enjoy the scenery with old friends.
Finally, others took the time to admire the work and art that others had made before them.
Before heading on the flight, the Glee Club grabbed a final taste of the west coast in the local San Franciscan restaurants that they had enjoyed all week.
Finally, the Glee Club returned back to the bus after a wonderful afternoon in the park to board their flight and head back to good old Purdue.
Daily Student Perspective: Grant Nice
Saturday was a very relaxing day. This final day of our tour had no shows and no stress. We had a late call time of nine o clock at the hotel. After breakfast and call time, the rooms were checked and we were on our way to the Golden Gate Park. I had a very good day relaxing in the sun. Sometimes we forget the beauty of the places we are in because of our busy schedule, but that was not how Saturday felt. I walked alone to a nearby wooden bleacher set and watched San Francisco just be what it was the whole week: Beautiful. Many times throughout the week I forgot how gorgeous this city was, but sitting there, alone gave me a couple hours to just think and absorb. I found animals to pet, wished people a good afternoon, and even jumped in on an impromptu yoga class. After the park we flew back home and drove to Purdue. The travel went as planned, but the park gave me a feeling I hadn’t had all week: peace. It was the perfect ending to a great trip to really remind me of all the things that Glee Club does for its members everyday that we seem to always take for granted.
