Center Stage: Westminster Prom
As part of the annual tradition, students from Glee Club and Purduettes travel to Westminster Village in West Lafayette to enjoy a night of good music and dancing with the residents of the community.
PMO Staff Member, Lance Connolly, went along for the evening and enjoyed conversing with the guests.
Both the Purduettes and the Glee Club performed short sets to showcase some fun tunes.
As the women arrived, they were presented with a flower decorated in ribbon!
The live band was swingin' all night long! They played all different styles of music, from jazz to swing and waltz to foxtrot.
Several women helped to prepare food and beverages for everyone to enjoy during the prom.
Two of the Westminster Residents teach a dance course on Monday nights; they were very excited to see their pupils cutting a rug on the dance floor.
Junior Jake Burris and his date swing dance while the band plays.
Brandi Fishburn and her date have a great time dancing the night away. They even match!
The gentlemen of Westminster are very lucky; the Purduettes are much better on their feet than the Glee Club.
While students and guests had a great time dancing together, several guests danced with their spouses and allowed the students to dance with eachother for a song or two.
The evening came to a close with a waltz. Everyone said their goodbyes until next year.
