Center Stage: European Tour Day 12
The Gentlemen of the Glee Club get on the bus in their tuxes to go to the Notre-Dame Cathedral for their performance during the Sunday Mass.
Before entering the Cathedral the Glee Club poses with a Purdue Musical Organizations flag.
They also decide to warm up by singing in front of the cathedral for the crowd that is there!
The seniors of the Glee Club and Assistant Director Ted Arthur pose before the last time they will wear their tuxes to perform.
The Glee Club is taken to a small space in the basement to prepare for the Mass.
Inside the cathedral, the rest of PMO finds their seats to partake in the service.
The Glee Club sings Biebl's "Ave Maria" before the service begins.
During the service, the Glee Club sings William Byrd's "Mass for Five Voices" at certain points in the Mass.
It is easy to be in awe during the service by simply looking at the French Gothic architecture.
During communion the Glee Club sings "Lux Aurumque".
The cathedral is a beautiful place to perform and to view, with a very ornate pulpit where the Glee Club sings from.
After the service members of the tour were able to spend time on their own after being dropped off at Place de la Bastille. Senior Matt Hanauer enjoys a snack at a pedestrian market.
Some students vistied the home of the famous Victor Hugo, writer of Les Miserables and the Hunchback of Notre-Dame. Posing with a statue of Victor is Bryce Shaffer, Matt Hanauer, Chris Soverns, Roy Johnson, and Max Showalter.
After rejoining the tour the group prepares to go on a dinner cruise on the river Seine.
The group makes its way to the boat, where they will enjoy a Farewell Dinner Cruise.
A fancy French dinner awaits the group, who are entertained by various PMO Specialty groups throughout the cruise.
Voiceovers performs during the dinner.
PMO staff and some special guests enjoy dessert on the boat as the sun sets.
Group members watch the performers as they finish their meals.
Ba Na Na is joined by the Ba Na Nettes to get the guests rockin' on the boat!
Some of the guests get in on the action and dance along with the music.
Dr. Melissa Exum has a special surprise for the guests and dances along to Beyoncé's song, "Love On Top".
Just about everyone on the boat gets in the mood to dance and joins Dr. Exum!
The guides of the European Tour, Dan, Patrick, Elizabeta, and Vanessa are thanked for all they did from Vienna to Paris!
The Farewell Dinner Cruise ends near the Eiffel Tower, marking the end of our stay in Paris.
