Freshmen Jonah Stevenson and Audrey Walts enjoy the scenic drive from Fussen, Germany to Fluelen, Switzerland.
Once everyone arrived at the hotel, we were given some free time to enjoy the beautiful mountain scenery that surrounds the area.
Our hotel, Jugendstil-Hotel Paxmontana was designed to look like the traditional Swiss ski chalets. Both the interior and exterior of the hotel were beautifully crafted.
Tonight's performance was started by the local adult gospel choir. Here they are singing medley from the American musical Grease.
The choir was accompanied by a soulful jazz band featuring instruments including trumpet, saxophone, and trombone.
The Purduettes then took the stage singing “Broadway Medley”. The audience loved the arrangement and choreography.
The Purduette Trio was then featured, singing an old tune from the 40s called “In the Mood”.
The Purdue Bells rang loud and clear, wowing the audience with their arrangement of “Somewhere Over the Rainbow”. As the Bells played the audience hummed along. It was a moving performance.
Bell ringers Winnie Luo, Abby Malek, and Andrew Scher, smile as they played they played their hearts out.
Finally, the Glee Club entered the stage in a proud and regal manner. They sang an audience favorite “Praise to the Lord”.
Later, specialties were featured as the group sang the Nat King Cole Medley. Here the Glee Club specialty 'Lighthouse' was featured singing the tune “Straighten Up and Fly Right”.
