Center Stage: Purduettes and Glee Club at the Palladium in Carmel, IN

The Glee Club and Purduettes were thrilled to perform in the wonderful auditorium.

The Purduettes rehearse “As I Stand Here Now” with the Purdue Varsity Glee Club, an original song composed by Ted Arthur to sing on the European Tour. This song will be performed on the Beaches of Normandy in memory of those lost on D-Day.

As the Glee Club finishes their time warming up on stage, Voiceovers takes some time sing through their repertoire.

The five Purduettes from Carmel, Indiana rehearse their rendition of “Mama Who Bore Me.”  The Purduettes often feature solo or group numbers by girls who are performing in their hometown.

Carmel native John Evelo dons a wig, and shows his feminine side as he sings “I’m Just a Girl” during the Glee Club’s “Oklahoma Medley”.

Picking the pace up, the Glee Club plays out during “I’ve Got Rhythm”

The Purduettes grace the Audience with “La Lluvia,” a song that mimics the many sounds of a rainstorm.

Purduettes join members of the Glee Club to talk with kids from the Boys and Girls Club about Purdue Musical Organizations.  The kids were able to ask questions about their experiences in PMO and at Purdue.

The evening was a night to remember. The Purduettes and Glee Club united to perform three numbers: Ezekiel Saw De Wheel, As I Stand Here Now, and of course, Hail Purdue!
