Center Stage: Purduettes at President's Council Annual Dinner
Friday, October 5, 2012
Director Jeff Vallier leads the ladies in singing grace before they ate a great dinner.
The Purduettes ate a wonderful meal together prepared for by the Purdue Memorial Union.
Before the President’s Council Annual Dinner began, new woman Abby Schneller met Dr. Melissa Exum, Vice-President of student affairs at Purdue University.
Some Purduettes had the pleasure of carrying a parachute which represented the actual size of the parachute used in the Mars Rover 'Curosity' landing. This parachute was also used to test if the real shoot would work.
Senior Colette Pfeiffer charms the crowd with a solo in the Broadway Medley.
New Woman Ashlae Nelms entranced the audience with her solo in ‘Fly Me to the Moon’ which was in tribute to Purdue graduate, Neil Armstrong.
The ladies sing a newly arranged song called “High Flight” in honor of the Mars Rover ‘Curiosity’.
The final song was another new arrangment of "This is the Moment/One Moment in Time", which honored the many accomplishments of Purdue graduates that were celebrated during the event!
As usual, the Purduettes bring the audience to their feet as they proudly sing “Hail Purdue”!
Juniors Alyssa McClelland and Audrey Bengert take time to thank guests for coming to the President’s Council Annual Dinner.
Some ladies had the great privilege of meeting Olympic Gold Medalist and fellow Purdue student David Boudia.
