Center Stage: Purduettes at Alpha Tau Omega Fraternity

Wednesday, April 4, 2012

The gentlemen of Alpha Tau Omega welcomed the Purduettes to their house for a serenade on a gorgeous Wednesday evening. The group enjoyed delicious pizza and drinks from Boiler Market as they shared stories and made new friends.

After dinner, the show began with the upbeat love song “You Better Love Me/Night and Day.”

The ladies wowed the gentlemen with their choreography in their next tune “Brand New You,” which featured soloists Abby Green, Abby Everett, and Allison Conrad.

The heartbreaking tune “What’ll I Do?” features the group’s beautiful alto sound.

The next few songs displayed the ladies’ a’capella sound with love songs such as “Some Kind of Wonderful” and “Natural Woman.”

The Treblemakers took the stage and sang a few familiar tunes from their “70’s Medley.”

The Purduettes next debuted a new song, titled “Somebody Make Me Laugh,” which featured a gorgeous solo by senior Allie Rieth.

The ladies sing the powerful backups that accompany the song, arranged by Assistant Director Jon Ranard.

Senior Ashlea Lidester stole the show with a stunning rendition of the popular song “Almost Lover.”

Junior Chrissy Kvachkoff brings down the house with a rousing rendition of “Music in Me.”

The ladies stayed after the show to mingle with their guests and show their appreciation to the gentlemen. Here, senior Rachelle Buuck speaks with Glee Clubber Jacob Shapiro and a friend.
