Center Stage: PMO Delivers Singing Valentines

Tuesday, February 14, 2012

It's that time of year again! Love was in the air as PMO students were out in full force on Tuesday to deliver singing valentines to over 500 recipients. Here, the group “Cupid’s Quiver” smiles as they pose with their beautifully wrapped roses! Each recipient of a Valentine received a rose, a card, and a cookie with their serenade.

The “Love Tones” delivered a Singing Valentine to teacher Bev Adams at Lafayette Jefferson High School. Their performance was featured on WLFI TV the next day!

Heart & Soul member Kenny Tan sings the solo in “How Sweet It Is” to the wonderful staff at Beaux Cheveux Styling Salon.

The “Lovey Doveys” delivered a Valentine to Pam Robertson, a 2nd grade teacher at Burnett Creek Elementary School. She encouraged her class to sing “Hail Purdue!” with the PMO students and wanted a picture to remember this special event.

Mrs. Robertson’s class enjoyed the performance so much that they shook each member’s hands as they departed the classroom!

The “Lovey Doveys” also delivered a Singing Valentine to store manager Sarah LaMar at Rubia Floral Market to thank them for their support of PMO.

The students also delivered many Valentines over the phone to loved ones and PMO supporters. Here, the “Love Tones” sing “I Just Called to Say I Love You.”

“Cupid’s Choir” sings a love song to an employee at The Wright Flowers in West Lafayette.

The “Love Notes” share the gift of song by serenading all of the residents of University Place with a Valentine.

The “Lovapaloozas” sing “Can’t Help Falling in Love” to a sweet couple.

PMO Account Clerk Kim Van Meter also received a Singing Valentine before heading home for the day!
