Center Stage: Purduettes at St. Lawrence Parish
The Purduettes were delighted to be invited to perform at St. Lawrence Parish in Lafayette to entertain during a dinner celebrating the marriages of couples in the church. Before the show starts, the ladies gather in the basement to take attendance and fix their lineup. The ladies stayed out of the way so as to surprise the guests with their performance!
The ladies run in to the tune of the Purduette classic “You Better Love Me.” The exciting number dazzles the audience and gets them excited for the rest of the set!
Purduette bassist Andrew Kasha and drummer Joey Frechin help accompany the ladies with Assistant Director Jon Ranard. The Purduettes wouldn’t be able to perform without these fine gentlemen!

The run-out gave the ladies the opportunity to get to know some of the amazing couples in the audience and the stories behind their marriages. Some couples in attendance had been married for over 60 years! Here, junior Leanne Shideler smiles as she introduces herself to a lucky gentleman.
Sophomore Audrey Bengert is able to connect with a gentleman in the audience by serenading him with “I’ve Got a Crush on You.”
Continuing with the theme of love songs, the ladies display their best choral sound when performing a ballad for the audience.
