Center Stage: Glee Club in Super Bowl Village
Tuesday, January 31, 2012

Before the Glee Club arrives, the stage is set in the streets of Indianapolis for the week of Super Bowl XLVI!

The men stand ready to begin the evening with our National Anthem.

While they sing, members of the Wright-Patterson Air Force Base present the American flag.

With only a short window before the Purdue Varsity Glee Club steps on its next stage, the Properties team gets right down to business.

Always ready to perform, Sophomore Bryce Shaffer, Junior Chris Soverns, and Senior Ethan Lapham wait eagerly in the wings.

The guys take some time off to relax and socialize before the performance. They gather close to hear over the roar of the crowd.

It is most certainly “Time to Begin” as the men of the Glee Club take the stage!

Sophomore Michael Eldridge croons for the audience during our “Indiana Medley”, giving the audience a tour of our fair state in style.

The basses provide a strong foundation as their voices carry over the bustling crowd.

Although we are the Glee Club, we’re never afraid to “Strike Up The Band”.

Director Bill Griffel keeps the crowd involved as he introduces the next tune.

Dressed to impress, we lift our voices and show our pride for our Old Gold and Black.

Senior Billy Thiedeman sings from the heart in our rendition of the Lee Greenwood favorite, “God Bless the U.S.A.” .

As is tradition, the men of the Purdue Varsity Glee Club conclude the show with our favorite song, “Hail, Purdue!”
