Center Stage: Glee Club in Kokomo, IN
Friday, November 4, 2011
The gentlemen of the Purdue Varsity Glee Club unload the buses in Kokomo, Indiana for the Howard Regional Health presentation.
Preparing for the guests to arrive, several of the members stuff programs with information about PMO as well as the dates and times for the upcoming Christmas Show.
Travis Roon, the sound tech-operator for the Glee Club, adjusts the microphone levels during the sound check.
Matthew Lancaster, Sir of Merchandise, works with senior Kyle Hoos to set up the Merchandise Table before the show begins.
The percussion section works out some tricky rhythms with Ted Arthur on a new song.
The gentlemen were met with a delicious dinner that consisted of pot roast and home-style potatoes. Yum!
Looking sharp and focused, the ensemble gives a powerful start to the show with our new song, “America, We Arise” and the classic, “Brothers Sing On."
Specialty group Voiceovers entertains the audience with an energized performance of “Save Me San Francisco” by Train.
Jimmy O’Connor returns to his hometown to sing a solo in “This Is the Moment,” a Glee Club tradition!
Getting a little goofy, the Glee Club sells out to a favorite: “Gary, Indiana."

Jason Ban sings along while keeping songs rockin’ on his bass.
A new favorite for the group is the “Five-Minute Wizard of Oz," which features senior Jimmy O’Connor as the Scarecrow.
Flashbacks bring back their sequined jackets to really take the audience on a trip back to the 70’s.

Getting people in the mood for the Holidays (and promoting for the Purdue Christmas Show - December 3 and 4!), Ba Na Na performs “What Christmas Means to Me."
After a great show, the Glee Club wishes a very special audience member a Happy Birthday!
