Center Stage: Purduette Worship Service at East Main Street Christian Church
Sunday, October 23, 2011

The ladies of the Purduettes were very excited for their first road trip of the semester! The ladies board the bus bright and early to depart for a worship service at East Main Street Christian Church in Elwood, IN – hometown of Purduette senior Laura Bohlander.
The ladies connect with the congregation while singing “Wouldn’t Trade It for the World” to open the service.
The ladies focus on Jeff’s directing as they sing the powerful hymn “He Is Beautiful to Me.”
The sopranos show deep emotion during the contemporary Christian tune “Blessings” by Laura Story. The song about overcoming trials in life resonates with each and every Purduette in her own way.
Senior Laura Bohlander sings the solo to “Hosanna” for the members of her hometown church. The ladies could feel the energy from the congregation lifting them up during their set!
Junior Caroline LaDue closes the Purduette set with a soulful rendition of “My Life Is In Your Hands,” another Purduette classic full of meaning for each girl.
The wonderful congregation at East Main Street Christian Church graciously provided the ladies with lunch after the service. The variety of soups and sandwiches were delicious!
The ladies love mingling with their audiences after shows – especially over a warm meal! Here, the ladies of the Purduettes join in food and fellowship with the members of the church.
