Center Stage: Purduettes Camp - Day 1
Monday, August 15, 2011

Welcome back! The old and new women combine for the first time on Monday for rehearsal. The ladies start their first day of camp off with some announcements from the managers on the day’s schedule.

The ladies get right to work rehearsing old music to prepare for the show on Friday.

Look at those smiles! It feels like we have been doing this for months already as the ladies watch Jeff’s direction.

After a morning full of rehearsing, the women had the opportunity to eat lunch and bond with their new sisters in song. Here, juniors Colette Pfeiffer and Amanda Smith bond with their “littles,” new women Grace Harmon and Bailey McGrath, over Den Pops.

Lunch was also a good time to brush up on the Purduette flashcards! Here, new women Morgan Memmer, Brandi Fishburn, Grace Harmon, and Grace Bagshaw study the ladies’ information.

After the break, it was back to rehearsing and learning choreography. Here, the ladies work on perfecting a pose during “It’s Today / Tonight.”

Dance captain seniors Ashlea Lidester and Laura Bohlander work on cleaning some of the choreography for “I’ve Got the Music In Me.”

After the ladies learned their new dance moves, they began to practice their performance to make the song show-ready.

During a break in rehearsal, the ladies met with their committees to discuss plans for the year. Here, the Personal and Professional Development committee talks about ideas they have for the upcoming year.

To cap off the day, the new women had the opportunity to sing their first run-out to the new men of the glee club. New women Grace Krambeer and Morgan Memmer surprise the new men with a serenade.
