Center Stage: Glee Club at Big Ten Women's Conference
Friday, June 10, 2011
The men of the Purdue Varsity Glee Club returned to campus for two special performances last weekend. The first was for the Big 10 Women’s Conference at President Cordova’s Mansion, Westwood. Here the guys get caught up on each other’s summer activities.
Another group of men find out what the others are doing for summer work and look back on the successes of last year.
After forming a lineup, there was still some time before the show. So the guys enjoyed more of this rare summer fellowship as a group.
Senior Simon May and Sophomore Taylor Rice sing to lucky ladies in the audience during the run out song, "When You're Smiling."
The guys were well dispersed throughout the room, with every table getting an up close look at what the Glee Club has to offer.
Sophomore Jay Josephson serenades a woman from one of the Big 10 School’s contingents.
Senior Roy Johnson was the featured soloist for the run out song. Thanks to President Cordova for the invitation to sing at the conference!
