Center Stage: Purduettes at Golden Taps
Tuesday, April 19, 2011

Every year Purdue holds Golden Taps to remember the Purdue students who have died during the school. This year the ceremony honored 12 students including some classmates of the girls in Purduettes.

Sarah Kretzmann puts together one the last line-ups of the year and the last as Purduette manager.

The girls wait for the beginning of the ceremony standing on the grand staircase in the Purdue Memorial Union. The ceremony usually takes place outside by the unfinished Block "P," but this year it was moved due to inclement weather.

The ladies sing the "Purdue Hymn" and "Songbird" in memory of the Purdue students. The ceremony was very touching, and the Purduettes appreciate being able to pay their respects through song.
