Glee Club Alumni joined the current members of the Purdue Varsity Glee Club in rehearsal on Friday April 15th for Alumni Day.
2010 Alum Ian Hyman introduces himself to the group and shares his favorite memories.
Bob Griffiths, alum from the 60’s, shares his memories.
After introductions, the alumni joined the current guys for some meet and greet time before singing the old standard songs from the Glee Club repertoire.
Glee Club Director Bill Griffel directs many generations of Glee Clubbers.
Senior Jimmy O’Connor performs the solo on the old favorite “The Happy Wanderer.”
Alum Barry Helfrich sang the solo on “The Whiffenpoof Song.”
The men join forces for “Prayer from Lohengrin.”
Passion and brotherhood are exuded during the old standard “Pilgrim’s Chorus.”
Some of the alumni in attendance reminisce amongst each other.
Current members gain some knowledge from an alum after the rehearsal was over.
