Center Stage: Purduettes at Ben Davis High School
Wednesday, March 2, 2011

The Purduettes were so excited to be invited to Ben Davis High School to participate in the Annual Benefit Concert for Gleaners Food Bank. Before the sisters-in-song took the stage, Lynhurst Middle School's 7th and 8th grade show choir performed.

Then the Ben Davis' Premiers showcased their talents.

The Purduettes could not wait to start singing after watching the other choir's wonderful performances.

The Purduettes premiere their "Big Band Medley."

The medley includes "Mister Sandman," "Chatanooga Choo-Choo," "Atchinson Topeka and the Santa Fe" and several other big band classics.

Junior Allie Rieth gets into character. "Operator, get me Hillside 4-0-9. Don't stop ringing till you get my baby's line!"

Sophomore Allison Conrad performs a run out to an unsuspecting audience member at Ben Davis.

Junior Rebecca Bean receives a warm response from the audience during her run out.

After the ladies serenaded the audience, a few Purduette specialties took the stage. The Flappers sing music from the '20s and are not afraid to show a lot of sass.

Senior Rachel Lane captivates the crowd while singing with the Purduette Trio.

After the Purduette specialty set, Freshmen Kathryn Johnson took to the keys and accompanied the ladies on "Cloudurst."

The ladies radiate with energy while singing the upbeat tune.

Purduette drummer David Pierrat focuses on his craft.

Senior Katie Gasiorowski looks to Jeff Vallier before singing her solo. Katie's mom, Sara Gasiorowski, is the Food Service Director at Gleaners Food Bank and was instrumental in making the benefit concert a huge success. Thanks to Sara and to Ben Davis for making this event so much fun as well!
