Center Stage: Purduettes at Fairway
Wednesday, February 9, 2011
Fairway Cooperative is one of the ladies' favorite serenades which has become an annual event. Before the ladies get the chance to serenade the gentlemen, the men of Fairway cook the ladies dinner. The men even decorated for Valentine's Day.
Once the ladies and gentlemen were finished eating and meeting new friends, the serenade began. Even though the Purduettes perform at Fairway every year, the guys never know what song is coming next.
Amanda Berggren, Sarah Kretzman and Rachel Lane show off their serenading skills.
Courtney Petro, Julie McLaughlin and Emily Friesen sing a run out to some lucky Fairway men. The song was L-O-V-E in honor of Valentine's Day.
Courtney Petro, Paige Devine and Katie Peine sing an 80's medley that always gets the crowd excited. Some of the men could not help but sing along to the popular songs.
Once the Purduettes were finished with their performance, the men of Fairway serenaded the ladies with a few songs including "My Girl," which involved some choreography.
The gentlemen of Fairway turned up the charm and invited some of the Purduettes to dance. It was a special end to a special evening. The Purduettes cannot wait to enjoy Fairway's hospitality again at next year's serenade!
