Our Technical Training is a very unique series of programs that focus on filling the identified needs of our craftspeople, thereby allowing them to obtain the necessary skills and knowledge that they must have in order to serve our array of campus customers. This includes both In-House training as well as Vendor training, depending upon which best fills our needs. We have several “In-House Apprenticeship” programs, currently in the IAQ, PIC, Electrical, Electronics, Masonry, Paint, Sheet Metal, Welding, and Refrigeration Shops. The purpose of these programs is to identify what skills we need incoming employees to have, and then to address deficiencies in their skill set with the appropriate classroom/hands-on development. The courses are usually developed and instructed through the cooperation of the PF Training team and craftsmen who have proven to be both qualified journeymen in their field, as well as qualified facilitators in the classroom. If you would like any additional information concerning our learning opportunities and programs, please feel free to contact Jon Biggs @ 494-9895, or jdbiggs@purdue.edu Technical Training Curriculums
All course work is developed through a collaboration of subject matter experts and myself. If you have questions pertaining to any of our offerings please contact Jon Biggs at 49-49895 or jdbiggs@purdue.edu.
