Contract Information

On December 3, 2012, a reorganization of Project Management and Construction (PM&C) that includes the closure of the Construction Inspection Department in March 2013 and directly addresses the roles of consulting architects and engineers was announced. PM&C leadership is focusing on this transition and will provide information regarding the transition to architects, engineers and contractors in a timely manner. This is the first release of detailed contract information.

Below, you will find links to standard form contracts for design consultants (AIA® Document B101™) and general conditions for construction contracts (AIA® Document A201™). These contracts have been developed by Purdue University’s legal counsel in concert with PM&C and Risk Management. Additional requirements for both contracts will be forthcoming.

We have also developed amendments to existing contracts for projects that are active (contractor selected for construction or in construction). There are links to two forms below: one for large projects and one for SOR (Service Order Release) projects. 

In the coming days, we will add a link to a list of projects that will have amendments to the design contracts so A/E firms can prepare to provide additional Construction Administration services. As many projects as reasonable will be managed to completion by Purdue to minimize disruption. PM&C leadership will be in contact with A/E firms to negotiate any fee changes based on the Construction Administration assignment prior to March 4, 2013.
