Bus Pull-off Areas
In an effort to make bus riding safer on the West Lafayette campus, the signs at the bus pull-off areas were changed to read "Buses Only, Tow Away." The change was effective January 9, 2006. Drivers who need to drop off or pick up riders, need to use parking lots, alleys or side streets where vehicles can safely pull to the side and let passengers in or out. As a reminder, no student vehicles are permitted to drive or park within the boundaries of North Academic Campus between 7 AM and 5 PM Monday - Friday. This includes Memorial Mall. Violators will be issued tickets.

"C" Garage Permit and Grant Street Garage Permit Pick-Up-2008

Students may apply for a "C" Garage Permit or a Grant Street Garage permit according to the following schedule using current semester classifications.

• Monday, April 21 - Graduate Students
• Tuesday, April 22 - Seniors (Semester 07-09)
• Wednesday, April 23 - Juniors (Semester 05-06)
• Thursday, April 24 - Sophomores (Semester 03-04)
• Friday, April 25 - Freshmen (Semester 01-02)

NOTE: Grant St. Garage permits are valid ONLY in the Grant St. Garage, they cannot be used in "C" Lot areas.

There are a limited number of permits available. Once the limit has been reached, NO MORE applications will be accepted. This is an application process only. Proof of address, Photo ID, and payment will not be necessary until the permit is picked up between August 1, 2008 - August 29, 2008. Carbon copy of the application MUST be returned to claim permit. All outstanding fines must be paid before the permit is issued. Applications will be accepted in our office which is located in the Visitor Information Center on Northwestern Ave. Office hours are 7:30 AM-4:30 PM Monday - Friday.

"C" Lot Permit Sales

Eligible students may purchase "C" lot permits beginning August 1, 2008. There is not a limited number of permits sold, so permits may be purchased at anytime throughout the year. Students will need to provide proof of their address and a photo ID. All outstanding fines must be paid before the permit is issued.

Use Discovery Park Lot (Former South Lot) - Most Reliable "C" Spaces Located In This Lot
A "C" parking lot is available west of Transportation Services, located at the intersection of Gates and Nimitz. This lot is currently serviced at twenty-minute intervals by the South Campus Loop and at ten-minute intervals by the Gold Loop. An improved access to the lot will allow the buses to enter the lot and board passengers.For a map of the "C" Parking Lot, click here. If you walk to and from this lot, please watch for vehicles as they enter and exit the Transportation building adjacent to the parking lot.
