| The
University Shipping Department provides the campus with a centralized
location for dispatching materials such as Federal Express
and UPS. The University Shipping Department has several goals: |

Negotiate
best possible vendor rates. |

Identify
and redistribute charges on shipments. |
|
To
provide the highest level of expertise in the area of shipping
and Hazmat requirements. |

Tracking. |
|

We
are located at the Materials Management and Distribution Center
(MMDC). We are responsible for receiving incoming freight for
the University, along with University Stores stock items, non-stock
and stockless items. We are able to work directly with Physical
Facilities material expeditors and University Stores in receiving
stock, non-stock and stockless material.
