- Bid date: October 12, 2006

- Construction phase: January 22 to April 27, 2007
Milestones:
- The south (State St.) entrance to Stone Hall will be closed for the duration of the project.
- The sidewalk outside this entrance will be removed. It will be replaced after this project is complete.
- The drive leading to the delivery dock at Stone will be accessible. Brief closures may be necessary on a few occassions.
- January 16 : The mobile substations have been set in place. Most of the State St. side of Stone Hall has been fenced off, and the entrance has been closed.
- January 21: An electrical shutdown will begin at 7:30 a.m. The STON shutdown will last 3-4 hours. During the shutdown, crews will connect STON to the mobile substations.
This shutdown will affect a feeder requiring a brief shutdown of SEAN, SERV, ABE, RES Halls Dishes, WBAA & Educational Dishes, and SMTH. All buildings except for Stone will have power restored in approximately 30 minutes. At the end of the shutdown, SEAN, SERV, ABE, RES Halls Dishes, WBAA & Educational Dishes, and SMTH will experience another brief shutdown, lasting approximately 30 minutes. COMPLETE.
- January 25: See exterior photos below.
- February 1: The old electrical equipment has been removed from the vault. Crews are preparing to move a drain in the floor, and they will soon begin excavating around the outside of the vault. A new concrete pad will be poured.
- February 27: The excavation of the area outside the vault is complete. See photos below. The demolition of the old electrical equipment inside the vault is done, and the new concrete footers and pads have been poured. In the next two weeks, the new transformers and switches will be set in place, and the concrete walls for the vault expansion will be poured.
- March 1: The transformers and switch were lowered into the vault by crane today. View the slideshow here.
- March 13: The vault walls have been formed and poured. The electrical equipment has been installed, and the bus duct installed.
- March 27: The excavated area outside the vault has been backfilled to within a foot of topsoil. One ductbank has been installed and the second is in process. The high voltage electrical work should be complete in the next two weeks. This project is on target to be complete by the end of next month.
- April 10: The ductbank installation is complete. The high voltage wire has been installed and terminated. The vault top is expected to be poured and installed this week. See photos below.
- April 24: Construction is nearly complete. The final electrical shutdown at Stone Hall is scheduled for Sunday, April 29, 2007 beginning at 5 a.m. The shutdown will last about two hours. This is required to remove the mobile substation and restore permanent power to the building. This shutdown will also include the feeder that affects SERV, SEAN, ABE, SMTH, and the Satellite Farm for approximately 15 minutes between 5 and 5:30 a.m. COMPLETE.
