American Recovery and Reinvestment Act
The American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (ARRA), through the state of Indiana, has awarded $11.5 million to Purdue University for approximately 50 repair and rehabilitation projects slated for completion by July 1, 2011.
Purdue will implement ARRA-funded projects throughout campus, with a special focus on life safety, elevators, and building envelope repairs (roofs, gutters, etc.).
Because the ARRA grant requirements include a July 1, 2011 project completion deadline, much of the construction will take place during the academic year. Although Physical Facilities and the contractors will minimize disruptions as much as possible, in some cases construction noise and road and sidewalk closures will be unavoidable. We ask your patience and understanding. Questions about Purdue’s ARRA projects may be directed to Keith Moore at kem@purdue.edu.
Signage will be posted at each construction site to note the ARRA funding and direct visitors to www.recovery.gov and www.in.gov/gov/INvest.htm for more information about the grant program.
