News for Building Deputies
Ted Weidner Named as the Senior Director of Project Management and Construction
Ted Weidner joined the Physical Facilities organization as the Senior Director of Project Management and Construction on October 29. Ted plans to schedule meetings early next year with building deputies to discuss service and responsiveness improvements, but if a building deputy would like to meet sooner than that, they are encouraged to contact Ted using the information provided below. Ted believes that developing and maintaining clear open channels of communication is important if PM&C is to be a true service organization in support of Purdue's goals.
Ted brings an impressive background in the facilities management field to his new role at Purdue. Having worked in higher education facilities since 1982 at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, Illinois State University, Eastern Illinois University, the University of Massachusetts Amherst, and the University of Nebraska-Lincoln, Ted has overseen construction projects ranging from roof replacements to nanotechnology, semiconductor and BL3 labs.
Ted earned a Ph.D. in Civil Engineering from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, is a registered architect, professional engineer and a Fellow in the American Society of Civil Engineering where he has held several offices at the local level. In 2009, he received APPA’s Award for Meritorious Service.
