Public Fleet Sale
Transportation Service regularly offers fleet vehicles for sale to the public to dispose of models that have been replaced by newer vehicles. The dates of the sales will be announced on this website as well as through press releases and advertising in local newspapers. We can send you notification of the next sale if you send your e-mail address to: firstname.lastname@example.org.
The sale is handled by a sealed-bid process. Sale vehicles will be available for viewing and inspection at designated times for several days at our facility on Ahlers Drive. Vehicle mechanical histories and window stickers can be reviewed. Staff will be available to answer questions.
Bid sheets can be obtained from this web site and from our office. Bid sheets will list the vehicle year, make, model, estimated mileage, and a minimum acceptable bid amount. Buyers may bid on more than one vehicle, but may make only one bid per vehicle. Bids below the minimum indicated will not be considered. Please refer to sale instructions for additional information.
Successful bidders will be notified and offered the opportunity to test drive vehicles before finalizing the purchase. Payment is due to the University within 48 hours of acceptance of the bid. Every vehicle will be sold as is, without warranties of any kind.
