Who we are
Purdue University Parent & Family Connections engages parents as partners in student success by helping parents and families understand the goals of the University community, serving as a central point of contact, and creating positive long-term relationships between parents, families, and the University.
Meet the Director
Kelley Stier, MA, joined the Boilermaker family in 2008 and has worked at Purdue in Residential Life, the Krannert Graduate School of Management, and most recently, the Office of the Dean of Students. Kelley earned her BS and MA from Bradley University in Peoria, Ill., and was introduced to student affairs and higher education administration through her experiences as a student-athlete, member of a sorority and an overall involved college student. As an only child, the support from her parents during college was a direct connection to her success both inside and outside the classroom. Kelley looks forward to getting to know the Boilermaker parents and families and partnering for your student’s success!
Meet the Assistant Director
Jennifer Wetli, a 2005 graduate of Purdue’s College of Technology, joined Parent & Family Connections in 2015 after six years with Purdue University Residences (UR), where she worked closely on parent initiatives within UR, including the University Residences Parent Advisory Council (URPAC) and the University Residences Parent Association (UPRA), before moving into the UR marketing department. Since the implementation of Parent & Family Connections, Jen played a number of supporting roles to help establish the program before moving to Parent & Family Connections to work full time with all Boilermaker families throughout their Purdue experience.
Meet the Administrative Assistant
Lauren Lucas joined the Boilermaker family in 2013 as a member of the Office of the Dean of Students. Lauren received her BS from Purdue University in 2013, making her a second-generation Boilermaker. As an undergraduate, Lauren held multiple jobs across campus and was involved in a sorority. Lauren has a younger sister who will also be graduating from Purdue University. With her experience as a Purdue student, Lauren looks forward to applying her firsthand knowledge to helping students and families get the most out of their Purdue experience.
