Physical (Facilities) Planning is responsible for the overall master planning and architectural design for the Purdue University System and oversees:
- The overall aesthetics of the campus
- The Master Plan(s)
- Building Site Selection and Planning
- Landscape Design
- Building architectural standards
- Historic preservation
- Exterior design of all University facilities
- Selection process of architects and landscape architects for Capital Projects
- Development of the biennial Ten-Year Capital Plan
- Coordination of the Capital Coordinating Committee (C3) and Capital Projects Council (CPC) project reviews
- Master Planning and Architectural standards, with Project Management & Construction (PM&C), for the design and construction of new and renovated projects
