2017 Activities and Schedule

Several of the activities are described in more detail below. 

Boiler Up Rally
Gather at Ross Ade Stadium or Mackey Arena (depending on weather) for a Purdue tailgate and famous pre-game show. Learn “Hail Purdue” and gear up for Big Ten athletics with the cheerleaders, band, and Boilermaker Special.

Social Events
Experience music, games, and an all-time favorite dance-off competition at Purdue After Dark, which showcases activities provided by the Purdue Student Union Board (PSUB) and Rec Sports.

BGR also offers bus trips to local stores that are full of student discounts and fun giveaways!

FreeZone
A diversity awareness program developed by current students that helps you become more aware of who you are as an individual, as well as appreciate the differences around you.

Speaker Presentations
Throughout the week, several guest speakers will perform in Purdue's Elliott Hall of Music. A crowd favorite is the downright hilarious relationship doctor, David Coleman, who will keep you laughing all night.

University Resource Fair
Find out what resources are available to you on Purdue's campus by attending the University Resource Fair! Each organization, from Purdue Libraries to the Purdue University Student Health office, will be on hand to answer your questions.

Boiler Bridge Bash
From eateries to volunteer opportunities, from boutiques to pet shops, come see what the West Lafayette/Lafayette area has to offer and receive tons of free stuff!

Boilermaker B-Involved Activity Fair
Learn about Purdue's diverse clubs and organizations in one place to help you get involved both on and off campus. With more than 900+ organizations, there is something for everyone! If your Purdue student organization is interested in participating click here

Interest Sessions
Acquire college study tips, discover more in-depth information about a student organization, learn how to use the CityBus, and more in these student-selected information sessions.

Boiler Success Sessions
Academic preview sessions are led by faculty and peers and help students get acquainted with important information early in their college careers. Classroom session topics consist of, but are not limited to:

  • Academic Expectations
  • Leadership Development
  • Campus Safety, Health and Wellness
  • Academic Integrity
  • Freedom of Expression
  • Self-Advocacy Skills
