Statement of Policy
The employee classification system was established by Business
Manager and Assistant Treasurer Memorandum No. 145. Over
time, modifications to the classification system occurred
and Business Office Memoranda No. 181 and 193 were issued
to recognize those changes. Additions to the employee classification
system require that the listing of classifications be updated.
Reason for Policy
This policy defines the classification system used for monthly
employees of Purdue University. It has been revised to include
information on research faculty positions.
