Recreational Sports for Faculty and Staff: Boiler Challenge Program

The Boiler Challenge Program offers student groups, learning communities, staff groups, and others a very unique learning experience. This unique learning environment allows groups to bond and appreciate each other’s differences while enhancing skills in leadership, decision making, problem solving, and communication. It consists of two thrilling experiences:

The Class of 1979 High Team Challenge Course
This course was dedicated in 2005 and represents the next generation of challenge courses. The course is composed of three levels with two separate exhilarating challenges on each level, two cargo net entry points, and a culminating zip line experience. To register, visit www.purdue.edu/recsports.

L. Tony Hawkins Boiler Challenge Course
This unique programming opportunity takes your group on an educational adventure. The 10-element, low-team outdoor course is open for use by academic classes/departments, offices, other campus units, student groups, and the general community. Led by trained facilitators, your group will learn valuable leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills — all of which can be transferred back into your work or school setting. Registration and fee information can be found at www.purdue.edu/recsports or the RSC Welcome Center.
