Voting Privileges
The University encourages all staff members to fulfill
their civic responsibilities and to vote in all official
public elections. If an employee will not have enough
time to vote during non-working hours, the University
will permit an employee to take up to four hours of
unpaid leave to vote between the opening and closing
of the polls. If an employee needs time off to vote,
talk to a supervisor to schedule leave so as to minimize
the disruption of the University’s operations.
For more details about this policy, refer to Office
of the Business Manager and Assistant Treasurer Memorandum
No. 90, “Time Off for Voting,” dated October
30, 1964, or the Business Procedures
Manual.
