Time Off for Religious Observances
Department heads and supervisors will make every effort
to accommodate employees in their observance of sabbath
and religious holidays. This may require adjusting work
schedules and work assignments in order to grant time
off. Time permitted for observance shall be without
pay, unless the employee requests to be paid accrued
vacation, if eligible. If a religious observance or
holiday occurs on an officially designated University
holiday, provisions of the holiday policy will prevail.
