The greatest percentage of budgeted operating revenues
for Purdue University in 2007-2008 is from student
fees, 29%. Other budgeted sources and percentages are
as follows: federal appropriations, gifts, grants,
contracts and other restricted income, 26%; state appropriation,
18%; auxiliary enterprises, 15%; student aid, 7%; administrative
cost recovery and other income, 4%; and investments,
1%.
The University’s budgeted operating expenditures
are as follows: academic areas, 45%; unavoidable costs,
17%; auxiliary enterprises, 15%; student aid, 7%; administrations,
4%; physical facilities, 3%; administrations, 4%; information
technology, 3%; student services, 2%; and other institutional
