Advisors keep up with Banner at lunches
The Office of the Registrar is holding regular “brown-bag” lunches for academic advisors to help them stay informed about Banner and the other new student systems.
“We cover a variety of topics, share concerns, answer questions, and ask a few ourselves,” said Lesa Beals, associate registrar for records, registration and graduation.
About 50-75 advisors attended the first event April 9, during which a wide variety of topics were discussed, including registrar forms, drop/add/modify calendar deadlines, time tickets, SSB (Self-Service Banner), CAPP (Curriculum, Advising and Program Planning) and overrides.
The next brown-bag lunch is scheduled for 11:30 a.m.-1 p.m. Friday, May 22, in Room 1142 of Lawson Computer Science Building.
“As long as there is information to share, we want to continue these monthly,” Beals said.
“All advisors — graduate and undergraduate — are welcome to join us. The more information we can share, the better.”
